Raising money for NICU

Fundraising in aid of logo.JPG

My daughter Macy was born at 34 weeks. She was whisked away after her birth (by emergency c section) and take straight to NICU. I was kept on the post natal ward for 4 days due to having pre-eclampsia, my BP needed to be stable before I could leave. The moment I was told I was being discharged I was devastated. This meant I would have to leave my baby girl in hospital whilst I go home. It felt wrong. I was heartbroken.

I sat on my bed crying before a nurse came to see me and explained I did not have to leave, there was a room waiting for me and Macy in NICU and I could stay with her. I was elated.

The room was a kangaroo care room, I had my own bed and tv, there were kitchen facilities, washing facilities and breast pumps. All funded by the wonderful Stars Appeal.

Stars Appeal don’t just offer accommodation, they fund state of the art equipment such as incubators for the NICU as well as so many other wonderful things.

Our ‘Little Warrior’ nappy is inspired by my own NICU experience and 50% of the sale of every nappy sold will be donated to Stars Appeal to help fundraise for the Neonatal Unit at Salisbury District Hospital.

Supporting Combat Stress.

November is a month of remembrance. To remember our serving soldiers both past and present. We are a military family. My husband is a serving soldier. He has been living with PTSD for almost eight years and it is now likely that he will be medically discharged as a result of this.

In honour of our soldiers and veterans, for the month of November we will be donating £1 from the sale of every nappy, wetbag, wipes and bundle to Combat Stress to help them continue to support soldiers who are struggling. (excludes Stars Appeal nappy and Loomey cloth nappy dryer).

Supporting WWF.

In 2021 we adopted a Jaguar!

When we decided to start NappyNoos we didn’t just want to sell reusable nappies, we also want to make a difference. For us, our business is not just about selling nappies and making reusable nappies mainstream it’s about making bigger changes to the environment.

WWF works to conserve endangered species and address global threats to the planet such as climate change. This is why NappyNoos has chosen to support WWF through our business.

Every order placed between 26th December 2021 and 31st January 2022 will be entered into a raffle and the prize will be an animal adoption of the winner’s choice. At the end of January month we will draw the raffle and draw one winner.

The winner will then choose an animal to adopt through WWF. We will pay for the adoption and the winner will be sent the adoption packs and receive all the updates etc.

We plan to continue to support WWF through our business as it grows so keep checking back for more information.
