Little Warrior - Charity Nappy

Introducing ‘Little Warrior’.

This adorable nappy is a charity nappy to raise money for Stars Appeal at Salisbury District Hospital.

This print is inspired by my own experience of NICU with my daughter. 

It features a beautiful print which incorporates many elements reflecting the experiences of NICU parents and their babies. The nappy has been designed so that the elements are recognisable to NICU parents but they are subtle enough so that the print appeals to everyone.

NICU WARRIOR

For babies born too poorly, too early, too small, this isn’t the route we expect, not at all.

Can’t hold you when I want, can’t feed you as I’d planned, your special little octopus, gripped tightly in your hand.

Scent hearts keep us close when I am not there with you, these small things do help, when feeling there’s not much I can do.

Warm knitted blankets, like a hug for you from me, wrapped up in someone’s kindness, that they will never see.

I know this storm will pass, like a rainbow after rain and this will be a proud memory, a strong bond we will gain.

We are warriors, you and I, a difficult time but very real, a time that has been made easier because of Stars Appeal.
